Everything that makes a door work and look right. Levers, knobs, entrance sets, pull handles, hinges, latches, bolts, door stops and the small pieces that finish the job.
If you are specifying a whole house, start here rather than with a single handle. The hardware on a door is a system, and the commonest expensive mistake is buying the part you can see and discovering later that the part you cannot see does not match it.
Work out the function first
Before the design, decide what each door has to do.
Passage is a lever or knob with a latch and no lock. Bedrooms, living areas, hallways, walk in robes.
Privacy adds a snib inside and an emergency release outside. Bathrooms, ensuites, powder rooms, the study.
Entrance has a keyed lock. Front doors, back doors, garage side doors.
Get that right and the rest is a question of taste.
The parts people forget
Hinges are the one. Three per door on anything solid or over 2040mm, and the finish should match the handle rather than being whatever the carpenter had in the van.
Door stops, because a handle through a plaster wall is a repair nobody budgets for. Latches and strikes sized to the backset you actually have. Escutcheons where a mortice lock leaves a visible keyhole.
Whole of home
Iver ranges carry one design from the entrance through to the kitchen drawers, which is the simplest way to keep a house coherent. Havolka is held in stock when the timing is tight. Hepburn covers the cabinetry and bathroom side.
